Obituary of Virgie Hilton

Virgie Hilton passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010 in Paris, Texas. She was born November 11, 1941 in Abernathy, Texas, the daughter of James Rufus “Ruf” Long and Daisy “Mandy” Mayflower Capps. Virgie was a graduate of Lubbock High School. She enjoyed sewing, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She had lived in McCurtain County over 30 years after moving here from West Texas. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was baptized at the Austin St. Church of Christ in Levelland, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Geraldine Hargrove and Shirley Huling. Virgie is survived by her husband, Duff Hilton of Corpus Christi, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Janell Hilton and Jack Hilton, all of Idabel; John and Charla Hilton and Kick and Wendy Hilton, all of Broken Bow; daughters and sons-in-law, Darcy and Steve Sniegiecki of Antlers, Prisna and Curtis Moore of Dallas, Texas, and LaDawn and Bobby Thompson of Idabel; brother, Ronnie Long of Odessa, Texas; sister, Jessie Helvey of Abilene, Texas; 15 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives, and a host of friends.
