Obituary of Dorothy Rolen

Dorothy Hampton Rolen, age 80, of Idabel passed away Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Idabel. She was born on March 12, 1929 in Bennington, OK the daughter of Wylie and Mae Ward Rutledge. Dorothy was a nurse’s aide and worked for many years at Oak Grove Nursing Home. She enjoyed working in her yard and taking care of her chickens. Dorothy loved spending time with her family especially the grandchildren. She was a faithful and active member of the Idabel Church of God and a lifetime resident of Idabel. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Hairm L. Hampton and Floyd Rolen; a son Charles M. Hampton; and a sister, Naomi Pinkston. Dorothy is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Donna Hampton of Idabel, and J.C. and Ann Hampton of Hope, AR; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Ronnie Austin, and Brenda and Lyndell McCown all of Idabel; brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Yvonne Rutledge of Ft. Worth, TX; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
