Obituary of Bill Defoor

Bill Defoor, age 45, of Idabel passed away on Friday, December 4, 2009 at Paris Regional Medical Center. He was born on September 22, 1964 in Frederick, OK. He graduated from Snyder High School in Snyder, OK in 1982. As a young man he enjoyed farming and working wheat harvest every summer meeting many friends in the process. Bill became a paramedic in 1992 and began working for the McCurtain County E.M.S. He loved his work especially helping people. He was employed part time by the Idabel Public Schools and devoted countless hours to the Broadway Kids and later was a member and strong supporter of the Broken Bow Band Booster Club. Bill enjoyed camping, and hanging out at the beach. He loved spending time with his daughter and was a strong and loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be truly missed. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Coyle R. Defoor Sr. and Lola Mae Studdard Defoor; paternal grandmother, Mamie Delilah Lee; and a nephew, Nolan Lee. Bill is survived by his daughter, Sierra Grace Defoor of Idabel; his mother, Pat Defoor of Idabel; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Wendy Lee of Walterboro, SC; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Chad Robinson of Paris, TX; nieces, Anna Lee of Walterboro, SC and Melodee Robinson of Paris, TX; nephews, Lane Lee of Walterboro, SC and Bodee Robinson of Paris, TX; many other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at the By-Pass Church of Christ with Bro. Brad Crosswhite officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Broken Bow Band Booster Club, P.O. Box 1394, Broken Bow, OK 74728.
