Obituary of Erin Elane Ditmore Hudson

Erin Hudson, age 31, along with her son, Paul James Hudson, age 2, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2009 near Madill, OK. She was born December 31, 1977 in Elk City, OK, the daughter of David and Lisa Parham Ditmore. Erin graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a BS in communications. She later attended nursing school at Kiamichi Vo. Tech and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Erin was a very talented artist and photographer and after graduating college served an internship as an artist at Disneyworld in Florida. She was currently living in Durant working as a respiratory tech at Southeastern Medical Center. Erin had previously worked as an LPN in Idabel at McCurtain Memorial Hospital and Hills Nursing Home. Erin loved people and taking care of them and this made for a very good nurse. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Idabel and had lived in this area for 20 years, coming from Elk City, OK. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Paul and Vera Parham; and her paternal grandfather, H.C. Ditmore. Erin is survived by her parents, David and Lisa Ditmore of Idabel; paternal grandmother, Willa Ditmore of Sayre, OK; aunts, Lori Bauldrige of Yukon, OK and Judy Cummings of Seguin, TX; uncles, Carl Ditmore and John Ditmore both of Oklahoma City; several cousins, numerous other relatives and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Erin’s memory to ARK, St. Jude’s Hospital or the Salvation Army.
