Obituary of John Van Hoose

John "Marty" Van Hoose, 52 of Pickens, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2009 at his home. He was born December 19, 1956 at Roswell, New Mexico, the son of John "Jerry" and Charlotte Jones Hannah. Marty loved hunting and fishing, however, his biggest delight was his children and grandchildren. He was always willing to lend a helping hand especially to his mother and sister’s operating Hannah’s Bent Tree Cabins located on Little River at Cloudy. He was a truck driver for Daryl Thomason Trucking Company. A lifetime resident of the area, Marty had lived here since he was 4 years old. He traveled and lived in numerous cities in his life, but always returned home. He was preceded in death by his father, John Hannah and his grandparents. Marty is survived by his son, John Martin Van Hoose, III of Kilgore, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Eva Marie Van Hoose Stout and husband, Lonnie of Broken Arrow and Brandy Elizabeth Van Hoose Grinstead and husband, Henry of Noble, Oklahoma; mother, Charlotte of Cloudy; sisters, Barbara Bathe of Elkhart, Indiana, Terri Wallace and husband, Stephen of Gloucester, Virginia and Kelly Hannah of Rattan; 7 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
