Obituary of Miriam McBride

Miriam McBride, 93, of Idabel, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009 at her residence. She was born April 28, 1916 in Asbury, New Jersey, the daughter of Elwood and Mildred Fox Hiner. She married Louis McBride in Stillwater on April 28, 1939 and he preceded her in death on December 19, 2005. Miriam was a homemaker, and a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed helping her husband around their place especially raising chickens and rose bushes. Miriam had lived in Idabel for 30 years moving from Canadian, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Eddie McBride; grandson, Jeremy McBride; granddaughter, Jeanette McBride; and a great-grandson, Dusty McBride. Miriam is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Elwood and Marcella McBride of Idabel, and Dwight and Darla McBride of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Synovia Lemmings of Cordell, OK; brother and sister-in-law, Lewis and Aileen Hiner of Stillwater; a granddaughter who gave her special care in her final days, Jennifer Moore of Idabel; special cousin, Bob Miers of Idabel; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
