Obituary of Hailey Shomo

Hailey Shomo, 7, of Haworth, passed away Friday, October 9, 2009 at Idabel. She was born October 21, 2001 in Talihina. Hailey was a 2nd grade student at Haworth Elementary School. She enjoyed drawing, reading, and playing basketball. Hailey loved attending and dancing at Choctaw Pow Wows. She attended the First Baptist Church in Foreman and had lived her whole life in McCurtain County. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Cecil Black; paternal great-grandmother, Juanita Spanke; a special uncle, Josh Wright; and an aunt, Jane Nelson. Hailey is survived by her father, Chicoty Shomo of Clarksville; her mother, Bernadette Black of Haworth; brother, Kellen D. Black of Haworth; maternal grandmother, Karen Edwards of Walnut Grove, AL; maternal step-grandfather, Rocki Hunsucker of Broken Bow; paternal grandmother, Priscilla Trejo and husband Aniceto of Rustin, LA; paternal grandfather, Albert Shomo of Bethel; aunts, Liz Neill of Haworth, Mindy Shomo of Broken Bow and Carmen Trejo of Rustin LA; uncles, Columbus Black of Durant, Cameron Shomo of Broken Bow and Albert Shomo Jr. of Idabel; several other aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
