Obituary of Grethel Clay

Grethel Louise Clay, age 82, of Richardson, TX passed away Monday, September 14, 2009 at her residence. She was born on July 15, 1927 in Haworth, the daughter of Thomas and Leona Jennings Clampet. Grethel worked for Texas Instruments for over 30 years before retiring. She was a very active member of the Dallas Bible Church. Grethel was also a strong advocate of N.A.M.I. which is the National Alliance on Mental Illness. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Marvin Hughes and John Clay; and daughter, Martha Hughes. Grethel is survived by her grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Tony and Claudia Nichols of Kaiserslautern, Germany; great granddaughters Kara and Ilena Nichols; and a sister, Lenora Mae Farley of Midwest City, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and a host of friends.
