Obituary of Juanita Keeling

Juanita McCurry Keeling, born Oct. 3, 1918, in Garvin, OK, to Mary and Howard McCurry, completed her life’s journey Dec. 27, 2010 at her daughter’s home in Oklahoma City. Juanita spent much of her life in Idabel, working many years at Woodruff’s Department Store. She later moved to Enid and made many wonderful friends. She was office manager at Keeling Appliance & Video, an active member at First Baptist Church, and in the Meadowlake Ladies Golf Association. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Keeling, Sr.; brothers, Harvey, Wilburn, and Tom; sisters, Nadine McCurry and Cathy Milam; son, Alver Wayne Crank; grandson, Randy Alan Parker; and stepsons, John Keeling, Jr. and Albert Crank. She is survived by daughter, Norma Sue (Crank) Parker and husband, Milford, and their sons and wives, Mike and Linda, Steve and Barbara, Greg, Gary and Carla; stepson, Jerry Keeling and wife, Vella, and their children Tina, Terry, Tucker; stepdaughter in law, Joan Keeling and her children Trisha, Ronny, and Gary; stepdaughter in law, Beverly Crank and her children Dane and Suzanne. She has numerous great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews all of whom she loved dearly. Juanita was known for her gentle heart and sweet spirit and will be loved and remembered forever. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010 at White Family Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Michael W. Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the chapel prior to the funeral service.
