Obituary of H.F. Cobb

H.F. “Curly” Cobb, 84, of Lamesa, TX passed away on Sunday May 24, 2009 at his home in Lamesa. He was born on August 9, 1924 in Horatio, Arkansas to Linda and Edd Cobb. Mr. Cobb worked for Britt Well Service before he became the owner of Cobb Well Service. He retired from Cactus Drilling Corporation after 20 years. After retirement he focused his energy as a horseman. Survivors include his children, Danny Cobb of Tin Top, TX, Dennis Cobb and wife, Heidi, of Lamesa, Texas, Doug Cobb and wife, Jackie, of Soldotna, Alaska, D’Andra Cobb of Carrollton, Texas, and Darren Cobb of Lamesa; sisters, Betty Shankles of Big Spring, Texas, Lucille Sargent of Paden, Oklahoma, and Margaret Ross of Durant, Oklahoma; a brother, Wayne Cobb, of Ada Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Linda and Edd Cobb; and two brothers, Dean Cobb, and James Cobb.
