Obituary of Adam Oliver

Adam Oliver, 25, of the Goodwater Community, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at Idabel. He was born February 20, 1981 at New Orleans, LA, the son of Rick Oliver and Rebecca Lang. On December 31, 2002 he married Jasmine Burns at DeQueen, AR. He was affiliated with the Tom Baptist Church. Enlisting in 1999, Adam proudly served the Army National Guard as a fire team leader of his infantry unit. He served in Egypt during Operation Enduring Freedom from October 2002 to August 2003. He also participated in the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts in New Orleans, LA. He was employed by L-3 Communications in Waco, TX. He had lived in McCurtain County for more than 10 years after moving from Texas. Adam was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Victor Alvin Lang and his paternal grandfather, Leland Oliver. He is survived by his wife, Jasmine Oliver of the home; 2 sons, Eric Blaine Burns and Taylor Adam Oliver of the home; father, Rick Oliver of Waco, TX; mother, Becky Lang of Brady, TX; sister, Amber Hurst of Floresville, TX; brother, Patrick Oliver of Florida; maternal grandparents, Marshall and Mary Jo McDonald of Tom; paternal grandmother, Marilyn Hayes of Eufaula; father-in-law, Jackie Burns of the Goodwater Community; mother-in-law, Virginia Cash of the Goodwater Community; brother-in-law, Zack Burns of Ft. Worth, TX; foster mother, Becky McKee of the Redland Community; foster brothers and sisters-in-law, Lance and Miranda Owens of the Redland Community and Chuck Bruner and Dana Ridge of the Redland Community; foster sister and brother-in-law, Brittney and Jason Ridge of Santa Rosa, NM; niece, Trystan Ridge of Santa Rosa, NM; other relatives and a host of friends.
