Obituary of Jessie Harris

Jessie Harris, 79, of Idabel passed away Sunday, May 10, 2009 at Dallas, Texas. She was born February 12, 1930 in Coalgate, the daughter of Arthur Chester Brewer and Leona Hill Brewer. Jessie married Bud Harris in Van Buren, Arkansas on July 29, 1952 and he preceded her in death in 2007. Jessie was a homemaker, and sold tupperware products for 30 years. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting and playing dominos with her friends at the Idabel Nutrition Center. Jessie was devoted Christian and a member of Grace Assembly Church in Idabel. Jessie was very devoted to her family and loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Bud in 2007. Jessie leaves to cherish her memory her sons and daughter-in-law, Floyd and Connie Harris, and Jimmy Harris all of Idabel; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Herbert Williams of Broken Bow, and Brenda and Bob Baird of Annona, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Calvin and Lenn Brewer of Petersburg, Virginia; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
