Obituary of Lois Stephens

Lois Stephens, 87, of Tom passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Idabel. She was born August 19, 1921 in Avery, Texas, the daughter of Lum and Lora Hudson Farrar. Lois married Johnny Stephens in Moon, OK on September 12, 1936. Lois was an accomplished homemaker. She was a wonderful cook and seamstress. Lois not only raised her own children but helped raise many of her nieces, nephews, grandchildren and other relatives as well. She was a member of the Bokhoma Church and was a lifetime resident of this area. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnny Stephens; a son, Clifford “Cliff” Stephens; grandson, Rickey Wayne Stephens; and brothers, R.C. Farrar and Hershel Farrar. Lois leaves to cherish her memory her sons and daughter-in-law, Lloyd Stephens, and Bob and Pat Stephens all of Caddo, Texas; a daughter, Joyce Wright of Idabel; former daughters-in-law, Jackie Micou, Sue Wright, Barbara Palmer, and June Stephens; a former son-in-law, Roger Wright; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends and also her special dog, “Little Girl”.
