Obituary of Lorene Scarborough

Lorene Jeanette Scarborough, 68 of Idabel, passed away March 12, 2009 at Dubuis Hospital in Paris, TX. Born September 27, 1940 in Valliant, OK, she was the daughter of J.B. Walker and Beatrice Dollar Walker. Lorene lived all of her life in McCurtain County. She worked for many years at Mac’s Cleaners and then later she and her sister operated Oleta’s Grocery Store. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Oleta Hunnicutt and Juanita Hobbs. Lorene leaves to cherish her memory the father of her children, Allen Scarborough; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Tiffany Scarborough of Idabel; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa “Missy” and Ronnie Meyer of Idabel; brother and sister-in-law, Leroy and Betty Walker of Idabel; 6 grandchildren, Brandon Scarborough and Santana Aguirre, Ashley Scarborough Williston and husband, Cody, Kaylie Parsons Scarborough, Rachel Meyer, Blake and Bradley Scarborough; 4 special great-grandchildren, Braedon, Braeson and Braeleigh Scarborough and Raeleigh Williston all of Idabel; dear nieces, Karen Nance, Cathy Roberts and Kay Jackson; nephews, Kenneth Walker, Stephen Walker and Billy Jack Compton; a very true friend, Jo Rhea of Idabel, a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
