Obituary of Ruby Riley

Ruby Evelyn Riley, 84 of the Pleasant Hill Community, formerly of Wylie, TX, passed away at Idabel, Sunday, February 15, 2009. She was born August 21, 1924 at Tom, Oklahoma, the daughter of Walter and Viola Keeler Sharp. She was of the Baptist faith. On August 8, 1942 she and Arthur Riley, Sr. were married at Longview, TX. She loved spending time with her family and was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur Riley, Sr.; brothers, Houston Sharp and Clarence Sharp; sisters, Margie Storey and Dollie Gray; grandson, Mark Kirby; 2 sons-in-law, Jerry Kirby and Kenneth Pendergrass; and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Riley. She is survived by 2 daughters, Barbara Kirby of Josephine, TX, and Katie Pendergrass of Merit, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Tamara Riley of the Pleasant Hill Community; grandchildren and spouses, Paladin Kirby, Tressie and Bill Kirby, Tammy and Jimmy McKenzie, Carla and Nick Martin, Kenneth and Sharon Pendergrass, Stephanie Blevins and Cynthia Toy, Melissa and David Quintal, Michelle and Clinton Taylor, Cassandra Riley and Casey Smith, Kimberly Riley and Glen Blackbourn; 21 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
