Obituary of Thearon Pollard

Thearon Pollard, 80, of Idabel, passed away Monday, January 19, 2009 at Plano, Texas. He was born August 16, 1928 in the Pollard Community, the son of James Thearon and Clarice Lane Pollard. Thearon lived in Vernal, Utah from 1950 to 1980, at which time he sold his trucking company and moved back to the Pollard Community. He enjoyed playing golf, especially with his friends in the Sr. Mixed Scramble held every Thursday morning. Thearon loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was affiliated with the First Baptist Church in Idabel. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Clark Pollard in 1997; a brother, Billy Carroll Parker; and a step-daughter-in-law, Delight Eidson. Thearon is survived by his wife, Johnice Pollard of Idabel; sons and daughters-in-law, James Thearon and Kathy Pollard of Littleton, Colorado, Michael Frank and Margaret Pollard of Forney, Texas, and Bill Charles and Sheila Pollard of Arlington, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Keith Fitzgerald of Livermore, California; step-son, Terry Joe Eidson of Idabel; step-daughter and her husband, Vicky and Jim Bailey of Jenks; brother and sister-in-law, Cleatus and Bennie Pollard of the Pollard Community; sister and brother-in-law, Clovis and Kennon Whittington of the Redland Community; a special friend and cousin and his wife, Sid and Gaylene Lane of the Pollard Community; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
