Obituary of Henry Taylor Dollar

Henry Taylor Dollar, age 92 of Idabel passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2008 at Idabel. He was born February 12, 1916, in Arkinda, Arkansas, the son of James Medford Dollar and Zadie Cook Dollar. Henry was a retired saw mill worker. He enjoyed playing the harmonica and spending time with family and friends. Henry was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Geraldine Dollar Friend and Fern Dollar; his son, Ronald Dewayne Dollar; brothers, Dave Dollar, Buck Dollar, Bud Dollar, Jessie Dollar, and Melvin Dollar Sr.; and sisters, Lucy Friend, Beatrice Walker, Leona Turbyfill, and Nola Jones; and grandson, Tristan Avery. Henry is survived by his granddaughter, Tammy Sherrell of Idabel; a great-grandson, Titus Dollar of Idabel; great-granddaughters, Jasmine Sherrell, Ashlyn Baker, and Mazie Sherrell all of Idabel; a step-son, James Knighten of Idabel; step-daughters, Rachel Knighten of Idabel, and Melissa Knighten of Dallas, Texas; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
