Obituary of Richard Bud Pollard

Richard “Bud” Pollard, 70, of Idabel, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at his residence. He was born March 15, 1938 in the Pollard Community, the son of Olin and Virginia May Pollard. Richard married Frances Jones on October 5, 1957 in the Pollard Community. Richard was a Missionary Baptist Minister for over 30 years. He worked as a land surveyor for several years prior to becoming a minister. Richard enjoyed gardening and was an avid OU Sooner Football fan. He was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. He was preceded in death by his parents. Richard is survived by his wife of 51 years, Frances of the home; daughters and son-in-law, Donna and Rene Aja of Farmersville, Texas, and Rhonda Harvey of Haworth; grandchildren, Drew and Brandi Edwards of Sanger, Texas, Makenzie Edwards of Farmersville, Texas, Lucas Ebert of Waxahachie, Texas, and Skyler Harvey of Haworth; a brother, Douglas Pollard of Haworth; a sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Danny Balagbagan of Haworth; a niece, Misti Pollard of Haworth; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
