Obituary of Shon Tabor

Shon Lee Tabor, 17, lifetime resident of McCurtain County, passed away December 15, 2008 at Tulsa, OK. He was born August 9, 1991 at Talihina, OK the son of Gerald Tabor and Patricia Dunn. Shon was a senior at Haworth High School and attended Kiamichi Vo-Tech where he studied auto mechanics. He enjoyed many outdoor hobbies such as hunting wild hogs, muddin’ and fishing. He raced one season of motorcross dirt bike racing where he won numerous trophies. He touched the lives of all who knew him in many ways with his kind hearted and caring personality. He was quiet and reserved, yet true in his ways with family and friends. His close friends were like brothers to him. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents; paternal grandparents, Berkley Tabor; Lillian and Clifford Bryer; brother, Tomas Tabor. Shon is survived by his mother, Patricia Dunn of Idabel; father, Gerald Tabor of Idabel; brothers, Shane Tabor and Bo Tabor both of Idabel, J.J. Tabor of Broken Bow, Jerry Tabor of Idabel, Glen Tabor of Tulsa, Terry Bryer of Nowata, OK; sister, Michelle Tabor of Steamboat Springs, CO; maternal grandparents, Lahoma Whitehead and Glen Snider of Idabel, Herald Dunn of Broken Bow; aunt, Kathy Gammel of the Hollycreek Community; uncles, Glen Bryer and wife, Linda of the Hollycreek Community and Allen Bryer and wife, Julie of Millerton, OK; 3 nieces, 1 nephew, numerous cousins, other relatives, friends and classmates of Haworth High School.
