Obituary of Joe Earl Gammill

Joe Earl Gammill, 73, of Idabel, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at his residence. He was born November 27, 1935 in Arkansas. Joe owned and operated several small businesses in Idabel including the Idabel Pawn Shop. He was a very giving person. Joe would without anyone knowing help someone who had a need. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Idabel and had lived in Idabel for fifty years, moving from Sulphur Springs, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Clarice Gammill; several brothers; and a sister. Joe is survived by his special friend and business partner, James McCown of Idabel; brothers, C.B. “Ted” Gammill of Mesquite, Texas and Durwood Gammill of Irving, Texas; a sister, Salla Mae Bradshaw of Celina, Texas; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
