Obituary of Opal Wilson

Opal Wilson, 70, of Idabel, went to be with her Lord Monday evening, November 27, 2006 at Tulsa, OK. She was born April 24, 1936 in the Goodwater Community, the daughter of Jakob McKinney. She married Caston Wilson in July 1968 at Idabel, OK. Opal enjoyed doing Christian work by handing out the little tract booklets for salvation. She collected pretty pins and what nots of many kinds. Going to yard sales with her little pocket book of change was a joy to her. Another person’s junk was a treasure to her. She was a simple person, nothing bright or flashy, just Moma. Those who knew her, knew she was funny, smart and a Christian. She was just happy to be alive. She enjoyed flowers of all kinds, sewing and doing crossword puzzles. She just took life easy in her golden years and loved to spend time with her family and church friends. Opal was of the Baptist Faith and was a member of the Choctaw Baptist Church. She was lifetime resident of this area. Opal was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Caston Michael Wilson of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Billy and Jill Murphy of Stillwater, OK and Richard Wilson of Edmond, OK; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen Bibi of Virginia, Merry Murphy and Russell Parker of Dekalb, TX and Carol Murphy and Michael Loman of Idabel; 7 grandchildren, Tyler, Carman and Cailee Murphy, Jasin and Joseph Bibi, Jessie Thompson, and Kelly Loman; 1 great-granddaughter; special sister-in-law, Arlene Wilson of Lawton; very special cousin, Shirley Lamber; her church family whom she cherished dearly along with numerous friends she made throughout her life.
