Obituary of Ladascode Crane

Ladascode Lou Collins Crane, age 62, former Idabel resident passed away Monday, October 6, 2008 at Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She was born January 9, 1946 in Talihina, Oklahoma. Lou was raised in the Kulli Community and graduated from Haworth High School and then attended Haskell University where she studied nursing. She joined the Air Force, where she met her first husband and father of her son. She was honorably discharged in 1969 and moved to New York City where she lived several years. Lou recently moved back to Idabel for a time before moving to Baltimore, Maryland with her son. She was a Nurse and enjoyed reading, traveling, and going to Casino’s. Lou was very proud of her Choctaw Indian Heritage. Lou was very close to her son Alfred and his fiancée Rena and loved spending time with her granddaughter, Cheyanne. She was preceded in death by her mother, Minerva (Collins) Byrum; and her husband, William Crane. Lou is survived by her son, Alfred Medina and his fiancée Rena formerly of New York and now living in Baltimore, Maryland; granddaughter, Cheyanne Medina of Baltimore, Maryland; sisters and brothers-in-law, Juanita Jane Williams of Healdton, Oklahoma, Suzie and Tommy Chesney of Wright City, Ruth Treece of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, and Amabel and Frank Tidmore of Wright City; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
