Obituary of Omie Williamson

Omie Williamson, 88, of Idabel, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Idabel. She was born November 4, 1919 in Garvin, the daughter of Marion and Lillian Crouse Jones. Omie was a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, cooking, and loved to read anything she could. Omie was affiliated with the Assemblies of God and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sam Williamson; a son, Don T. Williamson; a granddaughter, Sherry Johnson; 9 brothers and 8 sisters. Omie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Rayford and Carolyn Williamson of Idabel, Roy Williamson of Idabel, and John and Gail Williamson of Broken Bow; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Raymond Sweeden of Millerton, and Sheila and Lynn York of Geronimo, Oklahoma; sisters, Juanita Manning of Pittsburg, Texas, and Frances Smith of Blackwell, Oklahoma; a sister-in-law, Alice Jones of Wright City; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
