Obituary of James Hankins

James Hankins, age 79 of Idabel passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at his home. He was born December 24, 1928 in Tom, the son of Robert Henry Hankins and Louella Hilton Hankins. James worked for Williams Grocery Store and later operated a boot store in Idabel for several years. He loved fishing and hunting and always enjoyed raising a garden. James was a lifetime resident of Idabel. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Joyce Hankins; and brothers, Frankie Hankins and Pete Hankins. James is survived by his brothers, Robby Hankins of Idabel, Bobby Hankins of the Pleasant Hill Community, Billy Hankins of Idabel, and Johnny Hankins of the Pleasant Hill Community; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
