Obituary of LeFlore Davis

LeFlore Dean Davis, 92, passed away August 20, 2008 at McCurtain Memorial Hospital. She was born December 19, 1915 at Shults, Oklahoma, the daughter of Joel E. and Lutie E. Finley Melson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jeff Davis; daughter, Lutie Ann Luedecke; mother, Lutie Melson Hudspeth; father, Joel E. Melson; sisters, Madge Barnett and Jo Wilma Anderson. LeFlore is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Gay Simmons of Seattle, WA and Mauna Sue Stevenson of San Juan, TX; son and daughter-in-law, William Dean and Jeannie Davis of Mico, TX; 3 grandsons, Danny R. Stevenson of Woodbridge, VA, James S. Simmons of Seattle, WA, Russell L. Conklin of Oregon City, OR; 3 granddaughters, Cheryl A. Motcheck of Kirbyville, TX, Stephanie L. Livingston and Stacy E. Horner of Burnet, TX; 5 great-granddaughters, Christina Stevenson of Woodbridge, VA, Anna Livingston , Ariella and Axy Horner of Burnet, TX, Jennifer Motcheck of Kirbyville, TX; 4 great-grandsons, Jeffrey and Timothy Stevenson of Woodbridge, VA, twins, Robert Trevor and Geoffey Dylan Livinston of Burnet, TX; sister, Louellon Jones of Idabel; brothers, Bodford “Sonny” Hudspeth of Idabel and James “Jamie” B. Hudspeth of Woodsboro, TX; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. LeFlore was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, gardening, quilting and was interested in genealogy. She was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Idabel.
