Delight Eidson, 48, of Idabel, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2008 in Dallas, Texas. She was born February 2, 1960 in Idabel. She married Terry Joe Eidson on September 18, 1981 in Idabel. Delight was operations officer for the Idabel National Bank for twelve years. She was dedicated to her job and loved going to work even after becoming sick. She loved shopping with her many friends, and was responsible for initiating Junior Week at the Idabel Country Club. She was a past member of Epsilon Psi Sorority and attended the First Baptist Church in Idabel. Delight was a strong woman of faith and it was her faith from which she drew strength to make the decisions of life. Delight was devoted to her husband, children, and grandchildren, and they lovingly knew her as Mi Mi. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Hefner; twin brother Nathan Hefner; niece, Chardon White; and father-in-law, Kenneth Eidson. Delight is survived by her husband, Terry Joe Eidson of Idabel; her son and daughter-in-law, Riley and Reesha Eidson of Idabel; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Blu Nicholson of Athens, Texas; her mother, Marion Phillips of Foreman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie Whitten of Paris, Charmyrle and Wendell Burns of Hot Springs, and Darlene and Lewis Timbes of Golden; brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Tracy Hefner of Foreman; mother-in-law, Johnice Pollard and her husband, Thearon; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Vicky and Jim Bailey of Jenks; grandchildren, Cheyanne White, Kaylee Nicholson, Jo Nicholson, Blayd Eidson, Bracee Eidson, and Ayva Delight Eidson; nieces, Jordan Oxford, Haley Hefner, Lauren Hefner, Lindsey Timbes, Alicia Sipes, and Stacey Hefner; nephews, Christopher Hefner, Brian Stevenson, and Tracey Sipes; many other relatives and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to a scholarship fund for Delight’s grandchildren which has been established at the Idabel National Bank, or to a charity of choice. Her daddy named her Delight because she was a delight to the eye, but as we all grew to know her she became a delight to the heart as well.
