Obituary of Francille Lindley

Francille Lindley, 85, of Idabel passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Oklahoma City. She was born January 15, 1923, the daughter of Charlie and Florence Martin Anderson. Francille was a homemaker. She loved to write stories from the past. Francille had a weekly article in the McCurtain Gazette, and also articles in the Durant Paper. She would interview people around the area who she thought had an interesting story or history. Francille published two books about her own experiences growing up. She was very creative, and besides writing she also painted, photographed, knitted, crocheted, quilted, and kept up with all of her grandchildren’s activities. She was a very active member of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution, McCurtain County Historical Society, and the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Francille never met a stranger, and loved to visit with anyone she came in contact with. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ulysses Pascal Lindley; and her daughter, Barbara “Dena” Heismeyer. Francille is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Pat and Kathy Lindley of Piedmont; grandson and wife, Pat and Jackie Lindley of Noble; granddaughter and husband, Kaci and Tommy Murray of Piedmont; great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Katie, Sarah, Ethan, Landon, Madeline, Emma, and Peyton; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Beverly Anderson; nieces, Teresa and Kim; several other relatives and a host of friends.
