Obituary of Mamie Beason

Mamie Beason, 90, of Broken Bow, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2008 at Broken Bow. She was born August 21, 1917 in Chicota, Texas, the daughter of Evett and Georgie English Milson. Mamie was a homemaker. She was an accomplished seamstress, and was known for her quilting. Mamie was a member of the Methodist Church and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, V.P. Beason; sons, Virgil Beason, and Robert Beason; a grandson, Darren Haltom; and two sisters and two brothers. Mamie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Roy and Kay Beason of Nashville, Arkansas, Bucky and Carolyn Beason of Hugo; daughters and sons-in-law, Florence and Max Curry of Midland, Texas, Lisa and Patrick Meaney of Del Ray Beach, Florida, Glenda Haltom of Midland, Texas, and Sandra Mayfield of Paris, Texas; 18 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
