Obituary of L.B. Tillman

L. B. Tillman, 76, of Holly Creek, passed away Monday, December 4, 2006 in Idabel. He was born November 4, 1930 in Texarkana, Texas. He married Lou Bates on June 3, 1961 in Idabel. L. B. was a self-employed independent contractor delivering Coca Cola products all over McCurtain County for 31 years. He was affectionately known as the “Coke Man”. L.B. was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. having served in the Korean War. He enjoyed playing golf and visiting with his friends at the Broken Bow Nutrition Center. L.B. loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Holly Creek Community Church and had lived in McCurtain County since 1961 moving from Texarkana. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Pat Thompson, and a daughter, Jeannie Tillman. L. B. is survived by his wife, Lou, of the home, daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Bobby Kelly of Holly Creek; grandchildren, Lucas Kelly, Tanner Kelly, Jordan Kelly, Carson Kelly, and Bridgette Kelly, all of Holly Creek; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patsy and William Kemp, Helen and Wayne Mitchell, Carolyn and Roy Love, Inella and Frank Jewell, Barbara and Thomas Graf, and Deborah Williams, all of Texarkana; special friends, Bob and Judy Kelly, Tak and Helen Hammer, Charles and Loretta Van, and Grace Baldwin; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
