Obituary of Ruth Phillips

Ruth V. Phillips, 67, of Holly Creek, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2008 at Idabel. She was born June 30, 1940 at Chama, NM, the daughter of Eliseio and Rafelita Valdez. Ruth enjoyed gardening, doing crossword puzzles, and playing computer games. She was of the Catholic faith. Ruth married Sherman Phillips in 1960, at Heavener, OK. She had lived in McCurtain County for over forty-five years coming from Chama, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Sherman Dale Phillips Jr. Ruth is survived by her husband, Sherman Phillips, of Holly Creek, a son Billy Phillips, of Holly Creek; daughters and son-in-law, Roxie Faizy and Brian McMahon of Ft. Washington PA, Teri Zimmerman of Dexter, MO, Becky and Archie Mashburn of Paragould, AR; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
