Obituary of Georgia McKinney

Georgia McKinney, 100, of Idabel, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Idabel. She was born June 27, 1907 at Coalsprings, OK, the daughter of Joseph and Aves McAlester Sampson. Georgia was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to garden, cook and sing church hymns. She was affiliated with the Philadelphia Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robinson McKinney; daughter, Diana McKinney Harris; step-daughter, Irene McKinney; brothers and sisters, Agnes, Kellet, Aleck, Joel and Jacob Sampson. Georgia is survived by her sons, Raymond Brandy and Deroy McKinney both of Idabel and Robert Lee McKinney of Gladewater, TX; daughters, Hannah Blackowl and Eriss Brandy McKinney both of Idabel, Ernestine Courson of Longview, TX, Elsie McKinney Jeffus of South Carolina; 26 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
