Obituary of Mattie Sullivan

Mattie Sullivan, 84, of Eagletown, passed away March 11, 2008 at Idabel. She was born May 4, 1923 at Tom, the daughter of Clint and Clemmie Taylor Young. Mattie was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, gardening, fishing and spending time with family and friends. She was affiliated with the Baptist Faith and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chester Sullivan; son, Wayne Sullivan; brothers, Charlie Young, John Young, Jim Young, Dan “Hoppy” Young, David “Bodge” Young; sister, Jessie Goodman; and a son-in-law, J.B. Simpson. Mattie is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Christine Simpson of Eagletown, Billie and Dwight Hadley of Gilmer, TX; sister, Emily Myrick of Yamhill, OR; grandchildren, Bobby Simpson, Melissa Halburian, Bonnie Wiesner, and Jr. Hadley; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Eagletown Cemetery.
