Obituary of Phil Pierce

Phil Pierce, 60, of the Cisco Community passed away Sunday, January 20, 2008 at Paris, Texas. He was born October 19, 1947 in Arkansas City, Kansas, the son of Ivan Leo and Martha Bowman Pierce. Phil married Janice Baber on May 22, 1969 in Hereford, Texas. Phil was a government meat inspector working for the USDA at the Pilgrim’s Pride Plant in DeQueen. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed fishing. Phil loved spending time at the lake with his family, and was a member of the Forest Hill Baptist Church. He had lived here since 1995 coming from Texhoma, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sons, Chad Allen Pierce and Shawn Robert Pierce. Phil is survived by his wife, Janice Pierce of the Cisco Community; a son and daughter-in-law, Coy and Johnnie Pierce of Plano, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Jared McKee of the Redland Community; granddaughters, Britley Pierce and Paige Pierce both of Plano, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and DeAnn Pierce of Waverly, TN, and Jim and Barbara Pierce of Hooker, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
