Obituary of Marie Owens

Marie Owens, 89, former Wright City resident passed away Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Clarksville, Texas. She was born in Wright City on March 4, 1918, the son of John Henry and Emma Jane Speer Castle. Marie was a homemaker, and a charter member of the Wright City First Baptist Church. She enjoyed flowers and sewing. Marie loved spending time with her family and was a lifetime resident of this area. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo Owens; and a son-in-law, Douglas R. Dawson. Marie is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Charles Dawson, Benny and Gary Foglesong, and Berta Dawson all of Clarksville; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.
