Obituary of Ruby Pratt Hobson

Ruby Floy Pratt Hobson, 81 of Broken Bow, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Broken Bow. She was born July 27, 1926 at Dierks, Arkansas, the daughter of Starling and Addie Adams Lipscomb. In 1948 she married Olan Pratt. They were married until he passed away in 1978. She was remarried to Lloyd Hobson and the two were married for 15 years. She was of the Baptist Faith. Ruby owned and operated the Truck Stop at Idabel from 1980 until it burned in 1995. She tended to her chicken houses at that time as well. She enjoyed yard work, especially working in her flower gardens. She also enjoyed yard sales. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Olan Pratt and Lloyd Hobson; sister, Arlene Storey; brother, Awaul Lipscomb. Ruby is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Jerry Walthall of Broken Bow; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Vickie Pratt of Golden, Terry and Tami Pratt of Broken Bow; grandchildren Stephanie and Bart Pratt, Jamie Camp, Robert Walthall, Brandy Standridge, Jason Covington, Kyla Connell; great-grandchildren, Trent Pratt, Hallee Pratt, Braileiah Pratt, Kayla Camp, Kerrie Camp, Dustin Woods, Emily Connell, Patrick Connell, Dylan Connell; special friend, Edith Tatum; several other relatives and a host of friends.
