Obituary of David Martin

David Jett Martin, 56, of the Redland Community passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at his home. He was born July 6, 1951 at DeQueen, AR, the son of Pierce Jett and Dorotha Palmer Martin. On August 15, 1969 he married Betty Jordan at Smithville, OK. He was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the Redland United Methodist Church. He was a member of the United States National Guard. David enjoyed hunting, fishing and rodeoing. He collected bits and spurs. Above all these hobbies, the love of his life was his grandson, Jett. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pierce and Dorotha Martin; grandparents, Jett and Lois Martin and Dee and Sarah Palmer. David is survived by his wife, Betty Martin of the home; son and daughter-in-law, T.J. and Amanda Martin of Muse, OK; brother and sister-in-law, John and Pam Martin of Ada, OK, grandson, Jett Martin of Muse, OK; niece, Miranda Martin of Durant, OK; brothers-in-law and spouses, Benny and Sidney Jordan of Mulberry, AR, Kenny and Cindy Jordan of Watson, OK and John and Laura Jordan of Vian, OK, numerous cousins, other relatives and a host of friends. Howard Hill and Senator Jeff Rabon will officiate.
