Obituary of Joyce Clampet

Joyce Clampet, age 75, passed away Friday, December 7, 2007 at her residence in Idabel. She was born on July 13, 1932 in Idabel, the daughter of Pete and Gladys Parrish Williamson. Joyce was an accomplished homemaker, raising seven children. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed going to the Idabel Nutrition Center and visiting and playing dominoes with all of her friends. Joyce was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a lifetime resident of the Idabel area. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman Clampet in 1998; a sister, Louise Hartman; and a brother, Dan Williamson. Joyce leaves to cherish her memory her sons and daughters-in-law, Gary Clampet of Idabel, Ronald and Cindy Clampet of Marietta, Bobby Clampet of Stillwater, and Mark and Tammy Clampet of Hot Springs; daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Sam Cook of Davis, Peggy James of Hartshorne, and Sally and Brad Hawkins of Cushing; a sister, Geraldine Colgrove of South Carolina; 20 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
