Obituary of Linda S. Harper

Linda S. Harper, age 57 of Haworth passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Texarkana. She was born on September 11, 1953 in Millerton, OK, the daughter of C.T. and Collene Rush Wyatt. Linda was a graduate of Valliant High School. She was a homemaker. Linda loved to fish and when she was younger she was an accomplished trapper and enjoyed running her trap lines. She enjoyed playing bingo, was affiliated with the Victory Temple Church in Haworth, OK and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Wayne Wyatt and Gilbert Wyatt; and a sister, Mary Wyatt. Linda is survived by her husband, Roy Harper of Haworth; sons, Richard Thompson of Haworth, Charles Thompson of North Carolina and Kit Harper of Lexington, OK; a brother, Mearl Earnest Wyatt of Mangum, OK; sisters, Alvie Andrews of Millerton, OK, Betty Bartlett of Wright City, OK, Elizabeth Howard of Millerton, OK, Lois Wells of Murray, KY, Sandra Howard of Millerton, OK and Wanda Vinyard of Garvin, OK; 13 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Victory Temple Church in Haworth, OK with Bro. Jack Brown officiating. Interment will follow at the Haworth Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the funeral home.
