Obituary of Nadine Hopkins

Nadine Hopkins, age 87, of Valliant, passed away Monday, November 5, 2007 at Idabel. She was born October 31, 1920 at Commanche, Oklahoma, the daughter of Albert Wallace Posey and Edna Louella Daugherty Posey. Nadine was a homemaker, and along with her husband owned and operated the Lazy H Ranch near Wright City for several years. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and spending time with her family. Nadine was a member of the Church of Christ and had lived in this area since 1967 coming from Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Hopkins in 1991; a brother, Broodie Posey; and sisters, Mary Belle Stubbs, and Fern Hopkins. Nadine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Cheryl Hopkins of the Forest Grove Community; a daughter and son-in-law, Gena and Arthur Fowler of Valliant; grandchildren, Brian Fowler of San Antonio, Shami Fowler of Austin, Larry Bourne of Oklahoma City, and Heather Bourne of the Forest Grove Community; a great-granddaughter, Alexis Holley of the Forest Grove Community; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
