Obituary of Bonnie Nesmith

Bonnie Nesmith, age 90 former Idabel resident passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019 in Longview, TX. She was born on October 16, 1929 in St Louis, MO, the daughter of Curtis and Marie Brooks Suter.

Bonnie was an accomplished homemaker and a wonderful cook, her specialty being her peach cobbler. She enjoyed gardening, canning and making jelly. Bonnie was a member of the County Line Baptist Church. She had moved from Idabel to Diana, TX in 2006 to be closer to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Jack Gilbert; and a brother, Curt Suter.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Mack Nesmith of Diana, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Heather Gilbert of Diana, TX; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Tom Evans of Diana, TX and Rayma and Ryan Farlow of Baton Rouge, LA; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Pat Suter of Villa Ridge, MO; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Miller of McAlester, OK and Donna and Rudy Romero of Merlin, Oregon; grandsons, Mack Kemper, Zack Kemper and Quinn Farlow; numerous additional grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

A memorial / celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK.
