Obituary of Russell Chance

Russell Chance, age 42 passed away on Friday, September 20, 2019 at his home in Hugo, OK. He was born on December 13, 1976 in Garland, TX.

Russell, a self-employed man of many trades, attended Moore High School. He was a skilled electrician, carpenter, roofer, welder, repairman, mechanic, and landscaper. If there was work to be done, he learned how to do it, and he did it with all his might. He worked hard for the joy of working, and his skills were unlimited. He loved the outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing with his friends and spending time on his place with his son and dogs. Russell would help anyone out, giving his time and energy fully to others to delight the Lord. He was a patient and loving father and a generous and supportive son. He was a loyal friend who listened, but always had something hilarious to say to lighten even the darkest days. He was taken too soon.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Cleatus and Alene Fuller and Grady and Marie Chance, his half-brother, Kennith Chance, and his uncle Troy Fuller.

Russell is survived by his son Austin Chance; mother Katherine Chance; father Ronnie Chance; sister, Misty Chance; nieces Echo and Zoie Chance; aunts, Lola Fuller and Wanda (Buddy) Denley; a large extended family; and the family he made including the Jeff Hill family, the Josh Hollar family, Burt Pearl, and his group of trusted friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the Haworth Missionary Baptist Church in Haworth, OK. Interment will follow at the Haworth Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at the funeral home.
