Obituary of Ronald Wade Battiest

Ronald Wade "Ronnie" Battiest, age 54 of Wright City, OK  passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Broken Bow, OK. He was born on July 31, 1965 in Oxnard, CA, the son of Cyrus Battiest Jr. and Betty Thomas Battiest.  

Ronnie had made his home in McCurtain County for over 30 years coming from California. He enjoyed playing the drums and had played all over McCurtain County at various events and singings. Ronnie loved spending time with and visiting with family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Cyrus Battiest Jr. earlier this year.

Ronnie is survived by his mother, Betty Battiest of Wright City, OK; sons, Ryan Oaks of Owasso, OK, Ronald Battiest Jr. and Derek Battiest both of Lawrence, KS; daughters, Jamie Battiest of Lawrence, KS and Phyllis Nuno of Mesquite, TX; sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly and Greg Richerson of Wylie, TX and Faith and Harrell Clark of Antlers, OK; a brother, Ralph Battiest of Wright City, OK; numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK. Interment will follow at the Slater Memorial Cemetery.
