Obituary of Thomas Kennedy

Thomas “Tom” Kennedy, born June 30, 1940 near Talihina, Oklahoma to James and Dora Shipley Kennedy, departed this life January 15, 2011 at Paris, TX. Tom and Wyota Sue were married February 15, 1959 at Harris, Oklahoma. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Tom was a good family man. He loved fishing when he was able and loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He was a big fan of Ebay. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dovie Phillips; brothers, Robert and Johnny Kennedy. He is survived by his wife, Wyota Sue Kennedy of the home; sons, Dean Kennedy of the home and Michael Kennedy of Denver, Colorado; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Leona Kennedy of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; sisters, Linda Mathews of Meritt Island, Florida and Lillian Dorton of Ceres, California; grandchildren, Jesse Roberts and Cody Kennedy both of Colorado; great-grandchild, Jordan Roberts of Colorado; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Graveside services will be 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. Horton McDonald officiating.
