I am shocked and so saddened to hear of the loss of Ford Hendershot. He and Robin were our dear neighbors in the 70's. They were surrogate parents to my children. Ford and Mike had such good times together and Molly lived with them to finish her jr. year at IHS when we were transfered to the West Coast. Ford was such a kind and gentle person and would be so proud that Molly teaches a bird unit to her first graders. We send our love to you, Robin, and will remember Ford with love. Suzy

To all the Hendershot kids, Don, Mary and Dorothy Kaye. Wish we could be there with you to help you in this sad time. This may sound a little out of place, but think of it this way. Ford Jr got to heaven and God let him find Fred. They are having a gay old time.

Ford was a couple of grades ahead of me but I certainly thought he was cute, not only in looks but his wonderful personality. Those days were so long ago and Ford grew into an even more kind and sweet soul. It is so great to know that he had such a lovely life, wife and family. His tribute was very touching. RIP, Ford. You are loved and will be missed.

I worked for Ford 20 years ago at Weyerhauser in Valliant, OK. Ford was a good man. He was one of the most fair and capable of supervisors I have ever had.

It has been a long time since Ford and I talked face to face at the Paper Mill. He was a good friend and we shared our smiling faces to all who met us. I remember one story that Ford told me and I relate it to whoever reads this with a smile on my face and humor to state it.
Once many years ago Ford was in the old Holiday Inn having some form of libation. Down the row of bar-stools were two men who were in a discussion of some sort. One of the men must have had too much too drink and stated that he was going to start a fight with the man at the other end of the bar. His stool-mate said that he shouldn't because that fellow down there was no other than the local Karate school owner and Black Belt named George Petrotta.
Ford told me that I saved his butt with just a drop of my name.
I loved Ford and I have known Robin for a long time too. I was three months older than Ford.
I look forward to meeting him in Heaven when I leave this Earth either at my death or at the Rapture of Christ's Saints.

Depart, O Christian soul, out of this present world in the name of the almighty Father who created you, in the name of Jesus Christ who redeemed you, in the name of the Holy Spirit who sanctified you. May your rest be in peace and your dwelling place in paradise with God. Amen.
Words escape me, but you are no longer in pain and suffering. 24 years we have been neighbors, you and Robin. I couldn't ask for better people to call friend.
O Lord, have compassion on the children of Thy creation, administer them comfort in time of trouble, and save them with an everlasting salvation. Amen.
