Obituary of William Williston

William Larson “Boo Boo” Williston, 48, of Idabel, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at Tulsa. He was born October 22, 1958 in Talihina. He served in the U.S. Army for a short time and was very proud of his service to his country. William loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and listening to the stories they would tell. He enjoyed fishing and target shooting. William was a member of the Kulli Tuklo Methodist Church and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. He was preceded in death by his father, William J. Williston; paternal grandparents, Tobias and Rosa Williston; maternal grandparents, Lena Battice, and Leo Harley; brothers, Jimmy Carroll Williston, Bobby Joe Williston, and Wilton Wayne Williston; a sister, Sonya Williston; and a brother-in-law, Gary Howard. William is survived by his mother, Ruthie Williston of Idabel; sons, Zac Jefferson of DeQueen, Kevin Colbert of Palm Springs, California; daughters, Stacy Colbert, and Tracy Wesley, both of Broken Bow, and Starla Williston of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; sisters, Wanda Howard of Idabel, Brenda Kidd of Durant, and Marilyn Elliott of Idabel; brothers, Silas Parker of Freemont, California, Thomas Williston, and Terry Williston, both of Idabel; 5 grandchildren; 14 nieces; 20 nephews; many aunts, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
