Obituary of Roxie Faizy

On Monday, March 18, 2019 Roxie Lenora Phillips Faizy, loving mother and grandmother passed away at the age of 56.

Roxie was born in Mena, Arkansas in June 26, 1962 to Sherman Dale Phillips Jr. and Ruth Valdez Phillips.   She grew up in Smithville, Oklahoma and graduated from Smithville in 1980. Roxie always had a professional mannerism to her and set high standards in the hotel industry where she was a manager for many years. Roxie was known for how clean, organized and well put together she always was. She ran her own daycare and cleaning services and exceeded expectations. Roxie had a passion for cooking. She ran Roxie’s Ice House Grill in Idabel, Oklahoma. Her retirement wish was to do something in the “catering industry”.

Roxie loved all things tropical. Before her passing, she had a much anticipated trip booked for Fiji. She loved Anchors and Palm trees which she also collected in the forms of jewelry, paintings, and other various forms. Roxie loved to lay by the calm, ocean waters and tan with a drink in hand under the palm trees.

Roxie Lenora Phillips loved her family more than anything in the world, especially her children; from loving and devoted father, Zia Faizy; eldest son, Slay Faizy; only daughter, Stephanie Faizy; youngest son, Zachary Faizy; son-in-law, Nabi Ghafoori; her 3 grandchildren; grandson, Cameron; granddaughters, Arianna and Sabrina; her brother, Billy Phillips of Holly Creek, Oklahoma; sister, Terri Phillips of Dexter Missouri; half sister, Rebecca Mashburn; sister-in- law, Kathy Brantley of Broken Bow; her very best friend Dana Gillaspie; nieces Tara Phillips, April Deberry, Mandy Meyer and cousins, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents; mother, Ruth Valdez Phillips; father; Sherman Dale Phillips Sr.; brother, Dale Phillips Jr. and her niece, Amber Ball.

Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the White Family Chapel. Interment to follow at the Smithville Cemetery.
