Obituary of Kathleen Lawler

Kathleen Lawler, age 90 went to heaven on Monday, March 18, 2019 at her home in Haworth, OK. She was born on May 7, 1928 in the Union Grove Community, OK, the daughter of Charlie and Clarsie Gurley.

Kathleen was a homemaker. Her family was very important to her and she cooked Sunday dinner for them for many years. She was devoted to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Kathleen was a faithful member of the Haworth Church of Christ for over 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Lawler; a daughter, Linda Thompson; and sisters, Lois Whala, Margie Hardwick and Dorothy Marshall. 

Kathleen leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Donald Holmes of Haworth, OK; son-in-law, Aubrey and Glenda Thompson of the Pollard Community; sister, Betty Akard of Hot Springs, AR; a brother, Buster Gurley of Messer, OK; grandchildren, Jamie and P.J. Womack of Millerton, OK, Alesha and Larry "Chop" Helms of the Pollard Community, DeeDee Thompson of DeKalb, TX and Donny and Jennifer Holmes of Preston, MD; great-grandchildren and spouses, Hannah Holmes, Zac and Jennifer Bishop, Josh and Sarah Bishop, Laurie Smith, Magan Helms and Rusty Helms; great-great-grandchildren, Blakely, Hadleigh and Reed Bishop, Boone Bishop, Tyler, Titus and Bailey Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the Haworth Church of Christ with Aubrey Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at the Haworth Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at the funeral home.
