Obituary of Sarah Rolen

Sarah Mae Rolen was born October 26, 1928. She left this world to join the angels in heaven on Thursday, March 3, 2019. She was born at Penny Hill, Arkansas near Lockesburg, Arkansas to Madison Agner and Ruthie Mae Traywick Pogue.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ruthie Mae Algaier; her sons, Samuel Floyd Rolen, James Ray Rolen and Richard Agner Rolen.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters; Robbie Lou Chisum of New Boston, Texas, Margaret A. McKeever of Holly Creek, Oklahoma and Betty and Archie Taylor of DeQueen, Arkansas; her brother, John Pogue and wife Edith of Cooledge, Arizona. She was a gold star mother.

Sarah was a member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She loved her children, gardening and home. She loved to quilt, can, and sew.  She worked 50 years in the nursing home industry as food service manager of which 35 years with Memorial Heights Nursing Home in Idabel, Oklahoma. She was accomplished at anything she chose to do, but above all she loved the Lord.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the White Family Chapel with Bro. Mike Durham officiating. Interment will follow at the Denison Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m on Friday, March 15. 2019 at the funeral home.
