Obituary of Kandy Ford

Kandy Ford, age 72 former Idabel resident passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Ft Worth, TX. She was born on November 27, 1946 at Dallas, TX.  

Kandy was a homemaker. She was a kind and very giving person and would do anything she could to help someone in need. Kandy enjoyed bargain shopping, cooking and loved visiting with family and friends. She was a longtime member of the Central Baptist Church and had been living in the Dallas, Ft Worth area since 1992.
  
She was preceded in death by her father, Guy Dawson Dorris; mother, Vera Lee Wilkes Whiteley; her husband, Michael Ford; and her grandmother who raised her, Parthenia Evelyn Whiteley.

Kandy is survived by her sons, Jimmy Wayne Burks and Carolyn Kirby of Ft Worth, TX and Stephen Burks of Ft Worth, TX; a daughter, Dayla Jackman of Idabel, OK; a brother, Joel Wilkes of Dallas, TX; a sister, Donna Freadway; grandchildren, Porscha Stephens, Skyler and Sarah Wax, Shelby Hudson, Tanner Burks, Stephanie Iglehart and Jimmy Lee Cockerham; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Stephens, Skilar Hudson, Haidynn Hudson, Gatlin Watson, Charlie Wax and Kylley Freeman; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK. Interment will follow at the Denison Cemetery.
