Obituary of Lena Garcia

Lena Garcia, 25, of Broken Bow passed away Monday October 1, 2007 at McCurtain Memorial Hospital. She was born July 1, 1982 in Talihina, OK, the daughter of Calvin Carney and Theresa Alexander. On February 13, 2000 she married Valentine Garcia. She was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County and was of the Methodist faith. Lena enjoyed fishing and playing dominos. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. Collecting wolf figurines and art was a favorite hobby of hers. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter in 2005, Gabriella Alexander; grandparents, Evalina and Aleck Alexander and Virgie Wesley. Lena is survived by her husband of 7 years, Valentine Garcia of the home; daughter, Sylvia Garcia of the home; mother and step-father, Theresa and Holliston Wickson of Holly Creek; father Calvin Carney of Holly Creek; brother, Nolan Carney of Idabel; sisters, Shannon Mendez and Stephanie Wesley both of Idabel; grandfather, Elum Wesley of Kanawha, TX; aunts, Laresa Torres of Forest Grove, Wanda Roberts of Idabel, Elsie Wesley of Kanawha, TX; very special friend, Stacy Colbert; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many, many friends.
